The new Zeiss 16 format lenses have expanded footage scales. In order to achieve the new scales, the focus movement was changed. This change makes it possible to use the Aspheron wide-angle attachment to any of these lenses. The new focus design limits the lenses' focus at the close focus end of the scale. When the Aspheron is mounted to the 9.5mm or 12mm, the image cannot be brought into focus at any distance.

If the Aspheron is requested, the lens department will need to know what series of lenses they are intended to be used on.
